Service extension programs are available where there is no established corps community center. These units function in
cooperation with a local committee of representative citizens. The Salvation Army Service Extension Units are a group of caring volunteers in every community in Rhode Island. Community needs
are identified and met through direction and support services from the state office and divisional headquarters.
Services range from medical and dental assistance, to sending children
to summer camp, to supplying gasoline, food and clothing to the needy. Units also provide individual and emergency services.
In Rhode Island, there is not one area in the state where
The Salvation Army has not touched someone's life.
